Clinical Trial Policy
Clinical trials must be carried out to a high standard of quality that guarantees the research question is answered in a trustworthy, legitimate, and objective manner, and that the rights and welfare of human participants are maintained.
Clinical trials are required and recommended to be registered in a public trials registry at or before the first patient enrollment as a condition of consideration for publication. Authors are strongly encouraged to cite a reference to the registration in the Subjects Methods section. Examples of international clinical trials registries include clinicaltrials.gov, the EU Clinical Trials Register, and those listed by the World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform
