Clinical Trial Policy
Clinical trials must be conducted to high quality standards to ensure that the research questions are answered in a credible, legitimate and objective manner and that the rights and well-being of human participants are respected.
To be considered for publication, clinical trials must be registered in a public trial registry at or before the first patient is enrolled. Authors are urged to provide a reference to the registry in the subject methods section. Examples of international clinical trial registries include those listed on clinicaltrials.gov, the EU Clinical Trials Register, the European Union Clinical Trials Registry, and the World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform.
